Panelist Opportunity - Equality Fund Panelist (2026)
Once again, we’re on the hunt for Camden citizens to sit on our Equality Fund panel!
Fund Background
The Equality Fund was established to provide unrestricted, accessible funding to organisations tackling the inequalities experienced by residents of Camden. Designed by Camden residents with lived experience of inequality, the fund recognises that those surviving inequality are best placed to identify effective solutions. The Equality Fund narrowed its focus to prioritise organisations supporting people living with disabilities and people from the global majority* - two groups in Camden disproportionately affected by poverty, isolation, and hate.
*The fund uses the term “global majority” to refer to people from racialised and ethnically diverse backgrounds. These groups currently represent approximately 85% of the world's population.
Purpose of Role
We are aiming to recruit 10-12 Camden residents who will receive training and support to decide how this year’s funds are best spent through Camden Giving’s participatory grant-giving process. Your role will be to represent Camden residents, assess grant applications, and recommend funding decisions.
We particularly encourage applications from people from communities and groups that are underrepresented in decision making. These include LGBTQ+ people, men, people with disabilities, care leavers, people under 25 and people from the global majority.
