Our Grants
Our funds all have the aim of making Camden a fairer place to live and work.
If you are awarded a grant by Camden Giving, then a panel of Camden citizens with personal experience of inequality, have decided that your work is what’s needed in our borough.
How our decisions are made:
All our funding decisions are made by a panel of local people: community members who live, work or learn in Camden. Each panel receives training and support from the Camden Giving team before coming together to read applications, discuss what matters most for our borough, and then make informed final decisions.
It’s a community-led process from start to finish, rooted in lived experience, fairness and local insight. Read more about Participatory Grant Making here.
WE MAKE CAMDEN KIT FUND
The We Make Camden Kit is a partnership between Camden Citizens, Camden Council, Camden Giving, and Camden businesses. We're funding and supporting great ideas that will make Camden a better place. The goal is to help achieve Camden’s Core Missions by 2030; everyone eats well every day, young people have great opportunities, there’s diversity amongst people in power and we’re living in sustainable neighbourhoods. This is a rolling fund.
EQUALITY FUND
The Equality Fund is our only unrestricted fund, it's set up to provide unrestricted funding to Camden based small charities and social enterprises that actively bring together people from different backgrounds to create communities that can thrive in Camden. As with our other funds, these two-year grants of £30,000 (in total) to organisations will decided by a panel of residents with lived experience of the issues this fund aims to address.
Now closed for 2026 Applications
We strongly advise that you get in touch before making an application to talk through the criteria for funding. You can do this by emailing grants@camdengiving.org.uk.
Even if you don’t think we can fund your work right now, please meet us for a coffee or come to a drop-in, we are quickly developing our grants and we’d love to hear about your ideas. Find out about upcoming drop-ins and other events on our Events page.
Past Funds
YOUTH FUTURES FUND (FORMERLY FUTURE CHANGEMAKERS)
We’ve worked with over 50 young people to award £900,000 in funding youth work in Camden since 2018. Through our Future Changemakers Fund and the Youth Futures Fund, we’ve given opportunities to hundreds of young people and are breaking down barriers with Camden’s institutions.
WE MAKE CHALCOTS KIT FUND
The We Make Chalcots Kit was a community fund that celebrates the creativity, talent and knowledge of the Chalcots community. It gave money and additional support to Chalcots residents who had great ideas for their communities.
Decisions on who received funding and support were made by an independent community panel formed of 6 Chalcots residents who have diverse experiences of Camden and their local community.
Data
We’re committed to lifting the curtain on the world of grant-giving. Working to the 360 Giving data standard we publish all of our grant data. That means you can see who we give money to, how much and when.
SUPPORTED COMMUNITIES FUND
This fund is for organisations in Camden bettering the mental health of our communities. Organisations of any size can apply for the £10,000 grant delivering either talking therapy or therapeutic activities that help residents build connections, improve their wellbeing and feel supported.
Open for applications until midday on Wednesday 18th November.
